Children's Plays
There is VERY LITTLE in any of our scripts that could not be seen on television or at a PG movie. No swearing, no "adult" language, no controversial or serious themes. High schools have done almost all without any difficulty. However, you can never tell what will offend and we have loooong ago given up even trying! You know your audiences better than we do. So, while we think we're pretty tame, your audiences may not. We're sensitive to this issue, and will allow you to make title or line changes if there's something that's problematic. But before you do, you must contact us for permission.
All our shows are under copyright and this is absolutely necessary. You will almost certainly receive permission, but we get very, very cranky if we aren't asked beforehand. And one final note: if you do receive permission to make changes this does NOT mean that you can include "adapted by" in your program or promotions. See Legal Stuff for the actual wording to be used in all copy regarding your performance.
